painting vinyl vertical blinds?

i have white vertical blinds that just don’t go with my liv/din rms. i would like to paint them or something. last night i tried rubbing on stain and wiping off but this morning it felt tacky. i have extra slats to practice on. what can i use? my walls are a yellow golden color. tuscan/mediterranean look to the home

    when i painted my vertical blinds, i just used spray paint… a nice gloss or something… i painted them purple.. they turned out just great!

    make sure the blinds are free from grease and get a paint that you can use on vinyl a gloss paint or vinyl silk.

    you do not mention if your blinds are plastic or metal. An appropriate spray paint for plastic or metal may work.
    Ikea and home depot have cheap blinds.

    Why go to all of that trouble when you can go to Wal-Mart and buy new vinyl blinds for less than 5 bucks per window.
