Window Blinds Info and Tips

We have antique white (off-white) trim inside the house. The walls are painted caramel and lighter shades of that. The exterior of our house is sand (tan) with white window trim. I found some relatively inexpensive white faux wood blinds at Home Depot that they cut while you wait. Should I go with those white ones to match the exterior trim or should I go with off-white to be the same color as the interior trim? Thanks.

My window is 30″ the shades are all 50″or more. The window is in the basement and I don’t want to spend for a custom shade. I’ve shortened mini blinds before and was wondering if would be similar.

We’ve got big windows in our living room. Only sheer curtains because we like the view. But there’s a lot of glare on the t.v. If we can’t rearrange the room, what’s the best cheap way to shade the windows just while watching t.v.?
