I have an exterior (front) door with some glazing/a window in it, approx 24″ x 36″ in size. For privacy/security reasons I need to cover over this window at night. I haven’t yet been able to find anything suitable – light enough, easy enough to open, easy to install on the door. Does anyone make blinds or covers specifically for this purpose? Or has anyone come up with a DIY solution?

I wanted to mount these on window frame that is made of aluminum and it is hollow inside.

I have all the right tools, but I just don’t know where to start.

Should I use anchors? or are they even necessary? should i just make a small hole and screw right into the metal frame?

Another question is that the size of the screw. My window frame is pretty thick, and i was thinking about using 1″ – 1/8″ screw. Will that be okay? is there a special screw to use for cases like this?
these are actrually pretty heavy, they are made out of wood instead of plastic, and the size is HUGE.

There are 2 holes each end. I bought stainless steel screws for it. I am not sure if they are enough

OH and if my window is 68 inches in length, then what size blinds should I get if they offer something a little smaller: 60 inches, or something a little bigger: 72 inches???

Yes I amusinga masonry drill bit. It seems there is a concrete lentil above the window or something. It is stronger than brick. Any ideas how I can drill this?
